We Bop Choir is fully committed to safeguarding your personal data as well as protecting and respecting your privacy. Collecting some personal information is necessary if we are to fulfil the expectations and requirements of our users.

Visitors to this website

The website does not collect any Personally Identifiable Information (PII) about you when you visit this website, including via Cookies.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics, which is a web analytics services offered by Google, to track and analyse traffic to this website. This helps us to offer better user experience for you. Every device that is connected directly to the Internet is allocated an Internet address called an IP address. This IP address is considered to be PII because it identifies your location. By default, Google Analytics saves your IP address.

Contact Form

The contact form on this website is for you to send a message to We Bop Choir. The form will only ask you for your name and email address, so that We Bop Choir can reply to your message.

Members of this website

If you are a registered choir member, you will receive a password for the members area on this website. You will not be asked to for your name or email address. The password will be remembered by your device for 5 days. You will then have to re-enter the password. The password will be changed every term, so you will only be able to access the content if you are a current registered member of the choir.

Registered members of the choir

You will be asked to fill in and sign a Members Guidelines Form when you join the choir.

Information we will hold about you

  • Full name
  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • Which harmony you sing in the choir

From time to time, photos and videos will be taken of the choir. When you sign the Members Guidelines Form, you agree that the choir may use these images (which may include your own image) on promotional materials eg, posters and flyers advertising choir events; on this website; or on Facebook, Instagram or YouTube.

We will never share your personal data with third parties unless you have requested this, or we are required to by law eg, track and trace.

We will hold your information on our systems for as long as you choose to be a member of the choir. When you leave the choir, you will be asked if you would like to remain on a separate mailing list for future information about the activities of the choir. If not, we will delete your details.

How we use the information we hold about you

To keep you informed on all administrative matters related to the choir term whilst you are a current member eg, rehearsal plans, committee meetings and gig details

To let you know of any other activity We Bop Choir organises or participates in eg, new term details and social events.

How we store your information

All electronic devices which hold your personal data are encrypted and password protected.

All hard copies of your data are safely stored and locked.

All personal data on paper that is no longer necessary is shredded.

You can request to see a copy of the personal information we hold about you at any point by emailing rachel@webopchoir.co.uk

You have the right to request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. You can do so by emailing rachel@webopchoir.co.uk.
